Rolled out before sunrise Diesel humming low Three weeks on the highway with

a long way left to go From the mountains out in Utah To the Jersey

shore at night I chased those white lines shining in my high beam light

I saw towns you blink and miss Faces strange as they come

Things in truck stop parking lots That'd make a preacher run 20 years of

white lines 20 years of steel Miles under my boots

That only truckers feel I saw the beauty and the madness
