Yet his ideas shaped the entire Western world. He walked the streets of Athens,
questioning power, challenging beliefs, and exposing lies. But Socrates was dangerous.
Not because he used weapons, but because he used questions. The city accused
him of corrupting the youth and disrespecting the gods. He could have escaped.
His students begged him to run. Socrates refused. He believed escaping would destroy everything
he taught. So he drank the poison. Not as a victim.
But as a message. Socrates died, so his ideas could live forever.
