In 1993, a hotel in Los Angeles permanently sealed Room 428. Not because of
renovations. But because guests kept receiving phone calls from no one.
Room 428 had no working telephone. Yet, every guest reported the same thing.
The phone would ring at exactly 3:17 AM. When they picked it up,
only breathing. Hotel records later confirmed a real incident. In 1979,
a man was found dead in that room. Cause of death: asphyxiation.
Time of death: 3:17 AM. The hotel removed the phone line. But the calls
continued. One guest recorded the sound on a tape recorder. When police played
