They weren’t built for bones. They began as limestone quarries. In the

1700s, Paris faced overflowing cemeteries and disease. Millions of skeletons were moved underground,

night after night. Over six million people now rest beneath Paris. Today,

only part is open. Others still sneak in. They map tunnels,
