The Clever Rat and the Lazy Cat

The clever rat and the hungry cat. Once upon a time, in a small village, there lived a fat,

lazy cat named Mitti. She loved eating and sleeping all day. But more than anything,

she loved eating rats. Nearby, in a tiny hole in the wall,

lived a smart little rat named Chiku. Chiku knew all about Mitti the cat. He always stayed

alert and never came out when Mitti was nearby. One morning, Mitti sat quietly

near Chiku's hole and said sweetly, "Oh dear rat, I've changed. I don't eat rats

anymore. I want to be your friend." Chiku giggled inside the hole and replied,
