A Promise Kept

Every day, the old dog waited. He didn't know the day or

the time. He just sat by the door. People walked past. Cars came and

left. Rain fell. Days passed. Everyone thought he was lost.

But he wasn't. Wait here. I will be back. One day he

never came back. Still, the dog waited. Because promises do not expire to

someone who loves you. The stranger sat beside him. For the first

time, the dog wasn't waiting alone.
