Acting Dead to Teach a Lesson

My rebellious 16 year old daughter screamed, I wish you were dead.

Mom's new boyfriend is my real dad, I said calmly, noted. Sweetheart,

so I start acting like I'm dead. Three days later, she was begging me to return to

normal. I'm 44, male, and have been divorced from my ex wife,

Melissa, for eight years. We have a daughter, Amanda, sixteen,

whom I've raised mostly on my own since the divorce. Melissa moved across the country for

her dream job and sees Amanda maybe twice a year. Last week, everything exploded.
