Adam: Humanity’s First Lesson

Adam — The Beginning of Humanity (According to the Qur’an) According to the Qur’an,

Adam (Ādam) was the first human being created by Allah. He was formed with

purpose, taught knowledge, and honored above many of creation. The angels were

commanded to bow, not in worship, but in respect for the responsibility placed upon him.

The Qur’an does not tell us how long Adam lived. What matters is not the number of

his years, but the weight of his role. Adam experienced error,

understood consequence, and became the first human to turn back to Allah in repentance. Through him,
