Aftermath of the Skyscraper Collapse

The skyscraper collapse: At the end of The Defenders, Daredevil and Elektra are trapped when

the Midland Circle building collapses on them. Daredevil's survival: Matt Murdock survives

the collapse but is severely injured and presumed dead by everyone but Elektra,

who has also survived. Impact on Matt: He spends much of the beginning of season 3 recovering

and dealing with the trauma of the event and his survival, which isolates him from his friends

and his former life. The Hand: The villainous group that Daredevil and his allies fought against is defeated,

but the events of The Defenders set the stage for its return in later seasons.
