AITA: The Broken Window Account

Am I the asshole for making my brother pay for the window he broke?

I am twenty-eight and my brother is twenty-two. He is constantly between jobs.

Last week, he was house-sitting for me while I was away on business.

He decided it was a good idea to practice his golf swing indoors.

He shattered a custom floor to ceiling window. The replacement cost two thousand dollars.

I told him he needs to pay me back in monthly installments until it is

covered. My parents called me heartless because he has no money or stable

income. They think I should just eat the cost because I earn more.
