Ambition Cost Me Love

I knew this would hurt her. I did it anyway. She didn’t ask me to quit my dreams.

She asked me to slow down. I was obsessed. Work. Progress.

Escape. Love felt like a distraction I couldn’t afford. She waited for me

at night. I came home after midnight. Every day. One evening,

she said, “I don’t need money. I need you.” I told her she was being emotional.

I told her she didn’t understand pressure. That was the moment. I chose ambition. She chose to leave.

Years passed. I got everything I wanted. Except peace. Because success
