Everything you touch right now exists because atoms are obsessed with one thing: getting a
full outer shell of electrons. Your phone, your water bottle, even you.
Atoms are basically desperate singles looking to complete themselves by losing, gaining,
or sharing electrons. Sodium literally throws away an electron to chlorine just to feel stable,
creating table salt. Carbon is the ultimate sharer, bonding with four hydrogens to make
methane. And then there are noble gases, the only atoms that are already complete,
which is why they don't react with anything. They're just vibing alone with their
full outer shells. Chemistry is literally just atoms trying to achieve inner peace.
