Berries: A Botanical Confusion

Bananas are berries but strawberries aren't. Science is literally trolling us.

A berry needs seeds on the inside, which bananas have. Strawberries wear their seeds on the

outside like a fashion statement, so they're actually aggregate fruits. Even weirder,

raspberries and blackberries aren't berries either. But you know what is?

Watermelons, pumpkins, and avocados. Basically, everything you thought

you knew about berries is a lie. The banana you're eating for breakfast has more berry credibility

than the strawberry in your smoothie. Nature really said let's confuse everyone and called it botany.

Next time someone corrects your fruit facts, just remember tomatoes are berries too.
