Between Tide and Hill

Salt on my lips, cold sun on my skin. You laugh.

We lost the clock again. Waves keep the minutes rolling in.

Fish have gone dry on the painted red wall. Coffee steam rising.

The gulls start to call. You say . Same silver light on

every wave we fall in. Where time stands still. Breath of the

ocean. Slow and full. Only between tide and hill. You're

all I remember. All I will. Over the circle. Under one sun. Kids chase shadows

that never quite run. The higher you have it.
