Brahman, Self, and Karma Explained

Lord Krishna now begins to answer — calmly, clearly, without mystery.

He says: “The imperishable, the eternal — that is Brahman. One’s own inner

nature — that is called the Self. And action… is the force that brings all beings into

existence.” In just one shloka, Krishna defines the entire framework of life.

Brahman is that which never changes — beyond time, beyond decay,

beyond death. Adhyatma — the Self — is how that eternal truth expresses

itself within you. And karma is not just action — it is creative movement, the energy that
