Brave Stories: Beyond the Rulebook

I discovered something wild while reading Bible stories to kids at Sunday school.

A baby floating in a basket down a river, hidden in the reeds.

That baby grew up to split an entire sea in half with a stick.

The kids sat there amazed. I asked them if they ever felt too small.

David was a teenager with a slingshot facing a giant with armor. I handed the

kids actual stones to think about their own giants. One girl whispered her giant was

reading out loud. She kept that stone. The Bible is about people who

discovered they were stronger than they knew.
