Breathing Behind the Bathroom Mirror

I never believed these stories until it happened to me. I moved into a cheap apartment last year

because it was all I could afford. Everything felt normal at first, just old and quiet.

A few weeks later, I started hearing a strange sound at night. It sounded like

slow breathing, coming from behind my bathroom wall. I tried to ignore it,

telling myself it was just the pipes. But every night, the breathing got closer and louder.

One morning, I woke up and saw fresh paint on the wall. The landlord said

nothing had been changed. That night, the breathing was right behind the

mirror. And I realized it wasn’t coming from the wall anymore.
