BTK: Caught by His Own Letters

He called himself BTK, short for Bind, Torture, Kill — a name he

proudly gave to police and the media. His crimes followed a pattern. He stalked victims

for weeks, learned their routines, and broke into their homes when they were most vulnerable.

Once inside, he restrained them with rope or tape, tortured them psychologically, and then strangled

them. Afterward, he posed their bodies before quietly leaving the scene.
