Building Mature Connections with Men

My experience might differ, but here’s my advice: Men are simpler than you think.

Waiting for them to make the first move is immature—if you want a mature connection,

you need to be assertive. Women tend to be more intellectual, so with a man, you’ll need to take

the lead from start to finish. Start by building a friendship. Without that foundation,

you’re missing the most important piece. Don’t wait for him to talk first—take initiative,

even if you’re nervous. Scared energy pushes people away, especially if they sense immaturity.

Keep it casual; compliment something about him—his art, his mug, anything to break

the ice. Once you’re talking consistently, create opportunities to bond.
