Building Something Real

Sitting in that gray cubicle, something just clicked. I stood up, walked straight

out, didn't even grab my jacket. Hit the hardware store,

loaded up on tools and lumber, had no clue what I was doing. Spent the whole

afternoon in my garage, measuring wrong, cutting twice, splinters everywhere.

But when I finished that chair, when my wife and kids came out and started cheering,

I realized something. I'd spent ten years building spreadsheets for someone else's dream.

This chair wobbles a little, it's not perfect, but it's mine. Sometimes you just

gotta build something real with your own hands to remember you're alive.
