Calm First, Commands Second

Skipping this one step ruins most training sessions. Before you teach any command,

ask your dog to sit or lie down first. Wait until their breathing slows

and they're actually calm. Only then reward that calmness and begin your training.

Most dogs are too amped up when training starts, which means they can't focus or retain
