Caught in a Moral Dilemma

I coded a patient during my first solo night shift and when I checked his chart after,

I found out my attending had written a DNR order that somehow never made it to the system.

His family is suing the hospital. My supervisor pulled me aside yesterday and asked me to

say I saw the order. She promised it would protect everyone. But here's the thing, that patient told

me two days before he wanted to fight. His daughter wasn't even in the room for that conversation.

Now I'm sitting on a lie that could save my career or destroy what's left of my conscience.

The daughter keeps thanking me for saving her dad's life. My attending won't

make eye contact anymore. Do I tell the truth and lose everything I worked for,
