Chains of Darkness

Oh. Chains rattle and break as my heart shatters and falls.

I am the monster I fear to become because I'll lose it all.

I carry the weight, I carry the burden. My spine cracks,

my body breaks. Tears can no longer fall, my heart no longer here.

I lost it all. My steps become heavy, my body breaks.

This suffering is a curse of my own doing. I bear the chains,

I bear the armor made of mine and others' pain and of their

sorrows. I wear a trench coat bathed in darkness and soaked in fear.
