"Check the Plug!"

Last week, our small company decided to test a new “smart” coffee machine.

The boss proudly pressed the button… and nothing happened. He pressed it again. And again.

Still nothing. Everyone stood around confused — except my brother, who was watching

from the corner. Suddenly he burst out laughing so hard he nearly fell off his chair.

“Guys,” he said, wiping tears from his eyes, “it’s not broken. You just didn’t

plug it in.” The whole office went silent for a moment — then everyone started

laughing, even the boss. Now every time someone makes a mistake, we just say:

“Check the plug!” And my brother laughs first, every single time.
