Choosing Love Again

She slipped away like morning mist, through fingers that I couldn't twist. The illness took

what time had built, left me drowning in the guilt. I swore I'd

never love again, to spare my heart from all this pain. But love is

meant to give and grow, even when the winds of sorrow blow.

To love is choosing pain as friend and cherish life until the end.
