Choosing Peace Over Principle

The most consistent thing about me is that I will break my own rules. I’m all about being

straightforward, no games, no tricks. So I was in this argument with a

colleague about ethics, and it just got heated. It stopped being

about the idea and turned into two egos clashing. Just pointless noise. So,

in that moment, I did the very thing I was arguing against. I let him win. I let the conversation

slide his way. Not because he was right, but because my real principle is peace

over pointless conflict. Sometimes, being truly consistent means knowing exactly when to let a rule

go.
