Choosing Yourself Over Crumbs

There are women who don’t value themselves not because they don’t know their worth,

but because they learned to survive with very little. To accept crumbs and call them love.

To settle for inconsistent attention and confuse it with real interest. A woman who doesn’t value herself often

loves too much. She forgives quickly, waits in silence, adapts more than she should.

She convinces herself that if she’s more understanding, more patient, more available,

someone will eventually choose her the right way. But while she breaks herself trying to

hold relationships together, others stay only as long as it’s convenient.

It’s not a lack of intelligence. It’s a lack of boundaries. It’s having learned that loving meant
