Christmas Chaos and Exhaustion

It's the week before Christmas. I've evolved somehow. Into tired, angry,

broke and overstimulated now. But the lights are all twinkling. The season's begun.

One strand's dead, one's possessed. And one's judging my soul from the light.

The house looks festive. From a distance. Do not approach. Every store is

a nightmare, fluorescent and loud. Carts crash together, kids scream to the clouds.

It's holiday shopping, it's joy, it's delight. Grown adults are fighting over wrapping

paper that says live, laugh, love. Sir,
