Did you know Britain's greatest wartime leader deliberately starved four million people to death?
In 1943, Bengali families celebrated what seemed like a normal harvest season.
Children played in rice fields while mothers prepared traditional meals. But behind closed
doors, British officials were making deadly calculations. They diverted grain
exports to support the war effort while local crops began failing. Winston Churchill
received desperate reports about the growing crisis. His response was chilling.
He blamed Indians for breeding like rabbits. Soon, people were eating
grass and tree bark to survive. Mothers sold their children for handfuls of grain.
