Clean Break, New Beginning

I hit the bottom, thought that was the end. That was the

end. Hard road, cracked bones, empty nights. Empty nights.

Same four walls, same demons inside. Promises made, then broken again.

Looking in mirrors, I don't recognize friend, friend, friend.

White walls, cold lights, counting the days. Every goodbye feels the same damn

way. But something in me won't stay down. Tonight I'm taking

a clean break, walking away. Leaving the past in the dust,

let it fade. No chains, no lies, no needle, no cage.
