Color-Changing Cats as Radiation Warnings

The US government seriously considered creating color-changing radioactive cats to warn the future.

Here’s why. We have nuclear waste that will be dangerous for 10,000 years,

and we need a warning sign that lasts. Language won't work; it changes too much. Symbols are also

a no-go. The skull and crossbones used to mean rebirth, and now it's on toddler onesies.

Even a landscape of giant, scary spikes might just become a tourist attraction.

The wildest solution? Genetically engineer "ray cats" that change color near radiation,

and then create folklore and songs about them. The moral of the story: if the cat
