Your salad is literally growing in a desert that is running out of water. The entire American

West is basically surviving on one giant lifeline called the Colorado River. We built massive

dams like Hoover and Glen Canyon just to trick geography and make cities like Las Vegas and

Phoenix possible. But now, farmers, ranchers, and power plants

are in a total standoff over who actually owns the flow. It is the ultimate battle for survival

because the reservoirs are drying up. If we don't figure out how to share the last drops,

the West’s economy might just evaporate.
