Court Rules Kendrick's Lyrics Are Just Art

The court has officially decided that Kendrick Lamar’s lyrics are just lyrics, not facts.

Drake just took a massive L in his lawsuit against Universal Music Group over the diss

track "Not Like Us." So, back in January, Drake sued UMG for

defamation. He claimed the company artificially boosted Kendrick's track and pushed the whole

narrative that he was a predator. He wanted damages, but the judge just threw the entire

case out. Get this, Judge Jeannette Vargas said that because it was a

"heated rap battle," no reasonable listener would actually believe the lyrics were verifiable facts.

She literally called it a "war of words" with "incendiary language" from both sides.
