Desert Kindness Under the Stars

Tonight I discovered something magical in the desert. A tiny tortoise named Mira was stuck

beneath a fallen palm branch, her legs paddling helplessly in the cool sand.

She called out softly, and within moments, a silver fox appeared from behind the dunes.

The fox could have walked away, but instead she dug carefully around the branch.

Then a gazelle arrived, using her strong neck to lift the wood just enough. Together they freed

Mira, who blinked up at them with grateful eyes. Under that vast
