We all screen ourselves for diabetes, but then the question comes, how often,
how frequently, and how to do that? So if someone has a strong family of history of diabetes,
then obviously, uh, the chances of diabetes are more. So according to
Indian guidelines, we should screen ourselves from age 30 onwards once a year.
But practically, if you have a strong family history and if you have other risk factors,
you can begin screening from age 18 onwards. What are these risk factors? Easy to remember.
S for stout. That means heavy weight or obese. S for sedentary or sleepy.
Sedentary lifestyle and lazy behavior. S for spectrum of metabolic disease. Other diseases may
