Thinking that you need motivation to do what you’re supposed to do is one of the biggest
mistakes you can make. Most of the time, you’re not going to feel like doing
the right thing. You won’t want to go to the gym. You won’t want to eat right.
You won’t want to get that extra hour of sleep. That’s normal. Motivation is an
emotion, just like happiness or sadness. And emotions are fleeting.
They come and go. They’re unreliable. So why would you depend on an emotional state to change
the direction of your entire life? I’m making this right now because you’re seeing me
in a moment where I don’t feel like doing what I’m supposed to do. I have two workouts
