2 Samuel 2 - Divine Timing and Patient Faithfulness

God's promises unfold in His timing, not ours. David inquired of the Lord before

moving to Hebron, where Judah anointed him king. Meanwhile, Saul's commander

made Ishbosheth king over Israel, dividing the nation. Civil war erupted between the two

kingdoms. Though anointed years earlier, David waited patiently for God's full plan.

Seeking God's direction in every step prevents unnecessary conflict. Divine promises require divine timing—patience

and prayer must guide our path to God's purposes.
