DLA Indo-Pacific Inventory Optimization

The Indo-Pacific is our pacing theater, the primary focus of our global defense posture and

logistics strategy. Yet, despite its importance, less than five point three percent

of DLA’s global inventory is currently positioned in-region. Currently, over fifty-five percent

of Pacific demand is fulfilled directly from CONUS. This model prioritizes peacetime efficiency.

However, this creates extreme risk in a contested environment where strategic lift,

ports, and long-haul routes may be disrupted. Once CONUS support is isolated,

forces in the Pacific must rely entirely on limited regional stock to sustain operations.
