Doing the Right Thing

One time I caught my little cousin doing something he definitely wasn’t supposed to be doing.

At first I thought it was funny and I laughed, but then I realized it could actually

get him in trouble if someone else found out. I didn’t want him to get hurt or make

a bigger mistake later, so I decided to do the responsible thing.

I told his mom what happened, and she handled it the right way by talking to him

and setting clear rules. He was mad at me at first, but later I understood

that sometimes doing the right thing means making someone upset in the moment. Looking back,

I know it was better for him in the long run, even if I looked like the bad guy
