Gamers of Reddit, what’s the strangest thing you’ve ever heard over open mic?

One time, I legitimately heard a guy on my DOTA team break up with his girlfriend mid-game.

He was on open mic, and she starts in with this super entitled tone: “Get off that stupid

game and take me out to dinner.” For about ten minutes, he stayed calm, saying stuff like,

“It’s okay, babe, just let me finish this match. I’ll get punished

if I leave.” She clearly didn’t understand what that meant and eventually dropped an ultimatum: “If

you don’t turn the game off right now and take me to dinner, I’m leaving.” At that point,

he typed into all-chat: “Pause please. Need to break up with my gf.” Everyone laughed
