Easy Like It Used to Be

Steam from the coffee fogs up the dash. Old baseball cap in the backseat

stash. You're humming some tune from back in '95. We both laugh

loud because it still feels right. Sunlight flashing through the old phone lines.

Dust trails fade in the amber sky. We don't need a plan or

a reason why. Got our windows way down and our heartbeats high. Every time that

song comes on you say, "I've been waiting for this song, like,

all damn day." It's the same sweet song that always brings me back

to that little diner by the railroad tracks. Back when it felt easy.
