In 1994, the deadliest weapon in Rwanda wasn't a machete or
a gun. It was a radio signal. Words can build nations,
but they can also tear them apart. The RTLM station broadcast poison directly
into the hearts of the people, turning neighbors who had lived together for decades into
bitter, violent enemies. Propaganda stripped away humanity, piece by piece,
proving that when hate is given a microphone, the consequences are truly catastrophic for
an entire civilization. We must remember that silence in the face of hate is a
choice. Vigilance is our only shield against the echoes of the past.
