Electricity and Shadows

I open my eyes, but the room won't focus right. Disconnected signals sparking

in the half-light. Vision blurred like TV snow at 03:00 AM. I'm floating like

a specter, no one invited. There's lightning in my veins.

But no storm outside. Electricity inside my body, buzzing through the

bones. Living with the disease, but I'm living it alone.

Unsteady, on the edge, seeing life through a picture frame. Dreading every heartbeat,

fear screaming my name. I don't feel like me. I don't feel

like anything. Oh. Streetlights stutter, shadows jitter like bad film.
