weekend. The movie told the story of a Detroit rapper trying to make it in the industry
- drawing heavily from Eminem's own experiences. His album 'The Eminem Show' was the #1
album on the Billboard 200. It went on to become the best-selling album of 2002,
moving over 7 million copies that year alone. And his single 'Lose Yourself' - recorded
specifically for the 8 Mile soundtrack - sat at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song would later
win the Academy Award for Best Original Song, making Eminem the first hip-hop artist
