England has faced chaos across centuries, but few moments shook the nation like these two.
First, the Black Death. In 1348, a deadly plague reached England
and spread rapidly. Within two years, nearly one-third of the population had died.
Villages were abandoned, farms stopped working, and churches overflowed with the dead. There were not enough
workers, food became scarce, and fear dominated daily life. Society was forced
to change forever. Feudalism weakened, wages rose, and England slowly rebuilt from disaster.
Now fast-forward to 1998. England vs Argentina. A World Cup knockout match filled with
tension and history. In the second half, David Beckham was sent off after a moment of frustration.
