Intervention Skills According to Coulshed and Orme (1998), effective social work intervention
relies on several important skills: Partnership: The capacity to work collaboratively
with colleagues, share responsibilities, and provide constructive feedback. Negotiation: Clarifying
desired outcomes for oneself and others, while engaging in compromise or,
when needed, confrontation. Networking: Collecting and sharing information, connecting individuals,
and forming mutual support systems. Communication: Producing clear reports and expressing ideas
in simple, non-technical language both in writing and speaking. Reframing: Presenting
problems from a broader perspective and exploring alternative ways of understanding the situation.
