chromosomes called telomeres. These telomeres naturally shorten as we age,
but physical activity keeps them longer. Studies show people who exercise consistently have telomeres that
look nine years younger than sedentary people. Beyond that, exercise reduces
inflammation, strengthens your heart, improves insulin sensitivity,
and boosts your immune system. Just 150 minutes of moderate activity per week can reduce
