Exposing Emotional Manipulation

I found out my boyfriend had been lying to me for almost a year. Not cheating.

Something worse. He had been telling everyone I was unstable. Friends. Coworkers.

His family. Any time we argued, he’d casually mention how “emotional” I was.

How I “spiral.” How he’s patient with me because I “have issues.” I didn’t know until

one of his friends pulled me aside and asked, very gently, if I was “doing

okay mentally.” That sentence broke something in me. When I confronted him,

he laughed. Said I was proving his point. Said I should calm down.

So I didn’t yell. I didn’t cry. I didn’t defend myself. I made a document.
