Religion literally tore Europe apart for two hundred years. When Martin Luther
nailed his 95 Theses challenging the Catholic Church, he sparked the Protestant Reformation that
split Christianity forever. Kings went to war over faith. The Thirty Years
War killed millions. Meanwhile, the Ottoman and Safavid empires were fighting their
own religious battle between Sunni and Shia Islam. But here's the twist: while Europe drowned
in religious violence, Mughal Emperor Akbar in India chose tolerance, welcoming all religions to unify his empire.
And out of all this chaos, Europeans started questioning everything, leading to the Scientific
Revolution where reason replaced faith as the path to truth.
