Fake Boyfriend, Real Feelings

It all started as a joke. Emma, my coworker, was venting about

her annoying ex. "I just need a fake boyfriend to get him off my back," she said.

I laughed it off, but a few days later, she asked me to actually help her out.

"Pretend to be my boyfriend for a few weeks. Nothing serious. Just to freak him

out," she said, looking desperate. I agreed, mainly because I owed her a favor.
